To do what's best for the client: that is the infinite challenge of my work in CROP. As a tax consultant I am faced each day with issues that require customised solutions. The nice thing about my job is that during meetings with a client I think along about issues that he/she may not have thought of.  Based on my wide-scope knowledge of financial services, I can link the client to other professional areas and that way, be of added value to the client.

From education to career

During my pre-university studies (VWO) in Nijmegen I already knew that I wanted to do financial work. I opted for a programme in fiscal economics at the Catholic University of Tilburg (presently the University of Tilburg). During this period I decided to study fiscal law as well and at the end of 1997 I graduated in both disciplines. Until 2006 I worked at one of the big four firms and at Loyens & Loeff. From 2006 to April 2009 I worked as an entrepreneur in the real estate sector. I focused on establishing property funds, financing and refinancing, transaction counselling and tax consultancy in the area of real estate. I learned a great deal during that period! In 2009 I returned to practicing tax-related fields and intentionally chose to work for CROP because its types of clients and its flat organisational structure greatly appealed to me. By now I am a partner in the firm.

My motive: the best possible result for the client!

As a tax consultant, I aim at customised work for the client. To me, the best possible result for a client means that I suggest the most beneficial tax-related options and that I can advise the client what would be most appropriate for him/her. I therefore also act as a soundboard and  pose critical questions in order to be able to provide the best possible advice. Furthermore, I believe it's very important to instil enthusiasm among my colleagues, to lead them, and to give them the room for personal development.
