Eelco Craanen

When I decided to moved from the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration to the private sector, I consciously opted for a firm where accountants cooperate closely with well trained tax consultants. Accountants are actually all-rounders. Therefore, they need to work with specialists. Furthermore, CROP is an informal and very client-focussed organisation.

From education to a career

I was born on January 22, 1966 in De Bilt. After secondary school I began my studies at the Royal Netherlands Institute of Chartered Accountants (NIVRA). At the time I worked for a large countrywide accountants firm. After two years, I went to study accountancy and fiscal economy in Groningen. Afterwards, I worked for four years in the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration. In 1995 I began to work at CROP chartered accountants and CROP tax consultants. Since 2000 I am a partner in the branch in Arnhem.

My motive: continuing to learn

To be able to provide the client with better service every time and with better service provisions. In that context enjoying your work and mutual collegiality are very important. I want to continue to learn. This works as a stimulant and ensures that you give your client the best service possible. Fortunately there is plenty of room within CROP for individual further self-development. I truly appreciate people who have a positive attitude in life: People who not only look at a problem, but also at the solution. This is also the philosophy in CROP.
