Dries Snetselaar

There are two things that I find important in my work: the personal contact with the client and advising the entrepreneur. With advising on strategy in particular, you can genuinely help entrepreneurs. Also within CROP, as the chairperson of the partnership, I am very busy with strategy. It gives me great satisfaction together with my co-partners to plot out the course of the organisation.

From education to a career

I was born on November 28, 1955 in Renswoude. After my pre-university studies (VWO) I acquired my NIVRA diploma. Afterwards I began to work at a large accountants firm. In 1988 decided to work at CROP chartered accountants and CROP tax consultants. Since 1991 I am a partner of the branch in Ede. As an organisation, CROP positions itself close to the client; this is very important. My hobby? Playing piano. I have heard that playing the piano activates the other half of your brain. This way I stay balanced, so to speak.

My motive: the people behind the portfolio

My client circle is very diverse. They are active in trade, production and in the service provision. I have been working for years now for most of these clients. With many of these I have developed personal bonds. In some of these situations I don't need to utter more than two words. Because you understand each other so well, good advice on a strategic level can assist a business owner a long way. Therefore, for me it is not only about the client portfolio but mostly about the people behind it. The combination of people and strategy is what I find amazing!
