Arjan van Oosten

CROP combines the climate and involvement of a middle-sized firm with the high-quality knowledge of a big player in the market. Together with the personal client approach, was the reason that I moved to CROP chartered accountants and CROP tax consultants in 1998.

From education to a career

I was born on January 31, 1969 in Wageningen. After completing my pre-university education (VWO), I studied Fiscal and Dutch Law at the University of Tilburg. Since I found the fiscal discipline rather abstract, I looked for part-time work in a countrywide accountants and tax consultancy firm during my studies. With my practical experience in tax declaration, I quickly got a job in a practice of SME advisory. In 1998, after working a number of years in a large branch of another countrywide firm, I consciously decided to continue my career in the central part of the Netherlands by working for CROP chartered accountants and CROP tax consultants. What is my specialty as a partner? International tax laws within SMEs.

My three motives

During the past fourteen years I had the opportunity to contribute to the further growth of CROP in general and " starting from 2005 " to help build the fiscal practice in Leusden in particular. What are my motives? Diversity, challenge and content! I enjoy inspiring my colleagues while ultimately the objective is to provide the best practical result for the client. These could be seemingly simple solutions, but also such steps as instituting fiscal proceedings up to the Supreme Court. Ultimately the perception of the client plays an important role in this!

What do I contribute to society? I am the treasurer of the Paultje and the Dragon Foundation (www.paultjeendedraak.nl). The objective of this foundation is to provide information about children's cancer in a very accessible manner. We recently developed an animation movie, which is used internationally to inform young patients about their sickness.
